Privacy Policy
Tight Five does not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data. Everything stays on your device. We are not tracking you, selling your data, or sending anything to the cloud.

2. Data We Collect
We collect no personal data whatsoever. Tight Five does not require an account, does not transmit data over the internet, and does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
Tight Five stores the following information exclusively on your device using Hive, a local database:
- Session history -- practice set times, dates, durations, and any notes you add
- Timer presets -- your configured time slot preferences
- App settings -- display mode, audio/haptic toggles, language preference, time display format
This data never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to any server, backed up to any cloud service, or shared with any third party. If you delete the app, all local data is permanently deleted with it.
4. Permissions
Tight Five may request the following device permissions:
- Microphone -- reserved for a future set recording feature. Currently inactive. No audio is recorded or transmitted.
- Screen brightness -- used to set maximum brightness during performance mode for visibility.
- Wake lock -- prevents the screen from dimming during a timed performance session.
5. What We Do Not Do
- No user accounts or authentication
- No cloud storage or data syncing
- No analytics, tracking pixels, or usage monitoring
- No third-party advertising networks or SDKs
- No data sharing with third parties
- No collection of names, email addresses, phone numbers, or location data
- No cookies or web tracking of any kind
6. Third-Party Services
Tight Five does not integrate with any third-party services or SDKs that collect user data. The app runs entirely offline and independently on your device.
The app is distributed through Apple's App Store and Google Play, which have their own privacy policies and may collect data independently of the app itself. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy for details.
7. Children's Privacy
Tight Five does not knowingly collect any personal data from anyone, including children under 13. Since the app collects no personal data at all, there is no data to protect in this regard.
8. International Data Transfers
Since Tight Five does not collect or transmit any personal data, no international data transfers occur.
9. Your Rights Under GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act 2018
If you are located in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you have rights under the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and/or the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including:
- The right of access to your personal data
- The right to rectification of inaccurate data
- The right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
- The right to restrict processing
- The right to data portability
- The right to object to processing
Since Tight Five does not collect or store any personal data on external servers, these rights are effectively self-exercised: you have complete control over your data by managing the app on your device. Delete the app and all data is permanently removed.

10. Legal Basis for Processing
We do not process any personal data. The local storage of your session history and app settings on your device is necessary for the app to function as intended. This falls under "performance of a contract" (providing the service you chose to use) and does not require separate consent.
11. Data Retention
All data is stored locally on your device for as long as the app is installed. You may delete individual session records within the app at any time. Uninstalling the app removes all data permanently.
12. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to how Tight Five handles data (for example, if we add optional cloud backup or analytics), we will update this policy and notify users through an app update. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.
